If you’ve been in a car accident, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) may cover the cost of your counselling.
After reporting your accident and making an ICBC claim, you’ll be eligible to receive at least 12 counselling sessions, and ICBC will cover even more sessions if its medical advisor or your doctor recommends that you get further treatment.
In addition, you may be able to access many other forms of treatment after filing an ICBC claim, including massage therapy, physiotherapy, and chiropractic treatment, among other things.
Please keep in mind that you should schedule these counselling sessions within 12 weeks of your accident. If it’s been longer than 12 weeks since your accident, then you’re going to need to get approval from an ICBC claims specialist before any sessions can be scheduled.
In any case, I know how difficult it can be to heal after a car accident, and I want to help make your recovery as simple and straightforward as possible.
Once you’ve got your claim number, I will invoice ICBC directly, and I can also help to coordinate your care by working collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including chiropractors, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, and more.
This takes the stress and responsibility off your plate at a time when you just need to focus on healing.
So, whether you’re afraid to get back behind the wheel due to driving anxiety, dealing with accident-related PTSD, or you’re just trying to get back on the job, I can help.
Here’s how you can apply:
At some point during this process, ICBC will give you a claim number, and then you can start booking counselling sessions.
